For almost four years I’ve been teaching technology and digital high school art classes. I’ve always found my interests in mediums very eclectic. Lately, I’ve been inspired by animated filming techniques and mostly finding interesting ways to bridge analog and digital media. A project I’ve been thinking about for a while is an autobiographical animated film. Here some fun experiments I’ve done using a simple iPhone app called iMotion. I use this app a lot when introducing animation to younger age groups, and sometimes with my older high school students. It’s very user-friendly and helps students, especially younger school-aged students, understand the concept of frames per second.
